Is working out more one of your New Year’s resolutions? You’ve come to the right place!  We’re sharing some of our favorite workout classes in New York to help you start 2017 off on the right foot.

EPIC Hybrid Training

Looking for a real challenge that will keep you challenged? Try EPIC, trust us. EPIC Hybrid Training consists of eight different fitness classes along with the EPIC Obstacle Run for the OCR enthusiasts. All classes have a range of 5-8 unique circuit stations that utilize EPIC movements.

Workouts are reprogrammed every 4 weeks with different EPIC movements to ensure enough time to see progress as you can take a specific class at least 4 times each month, but also ensure new and exciting workouts each month.

Rumble Boxing
A new addition to the New York workout scene, Rumble Boxing incorporates aspects of boxing and strength training to help you develop a lean and strong fighter’s physique. Rumble combines HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), strength training, metabolic conditioning (METCON), and uppercut throwing cardio in one class. Sign up now before it opens as spots will surely go quickly – it’s fun and high energy, see for yourself!

Bari studio
Bari combines the best of a barre workout, trampoline, resistance bands, and dance. Classes focus on one or some of these elements. Barione includes 20 minutes each of sensory cardio, trampoline cardio, and muscle sculpting. Barimicro is a total-body conditioning class, while Baribounce takes place entirely on the trampoline.

Spinning more your style? We love FlyWheel’s spacious stadium-style seating and personal performance metrics. If you need an extra push, you can measure your performance against other riders on the in-stadium TorqBoards for a more competitive experience.

AEROSPACE High Performance Center
AEROSPACE was created by champion boxer and fitness expert Michael Olajide, Jr. and former ballet dancer Leila Fazel. It’s New York’s first “machine-free,” sports-emulation high performance fitness center, and offers several fitness classes including AEROBOX, AEROSCULPT, and AEROIMPACT. This is where our founder was introduced to boxing – see if you don’t catch the boxing bug too after this!

Barry’s Bootcamp
An old favorite, Barry’s Bootcamp, provides a total body workout, combining interval cardiovascular treadmill routines and strength training utilizing free weights, resistance bands, medicine balls and other equipment. Each day of the week targets a different muscle group (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are full body) so classes are not always the same.

SURFSET New York City
Can’t get down south for the new year? Try SURFSET New York City which offers surf-inspired fitness classes. The interval-based classes combine elements of aerobic fat burning, lean muscle building, and balance & core training in a fun and challenging 45-minute routine on top of a custom-made unstable surfboard. Try it – it’s harder than it looks!

I.AM.YOU Studio
Last but not least is I.AM.YOU Studio, a yoga experience designed by none other than one of our #GirlsWithGuts, Lauren Imparato. RETOX classes at I.AM.YOU link breath with creative and athletic movements and thoughts and feature music influenced by rock & roll, hip-hop, salsa, reggae, flamenco, and other rhythms from around the globe.

Don’t forget to travel to and from the studio with your favorite heavyweight JLEW bag — complete with your complementary drawstring bag to store those sweaty clothes after class (remember it’s odor proof and washable so your clothes won’t “ferment” while you keep them tucked away throughout the day).
