The BBC has announced its 2016 list of 100 inspirational and influential women.  The list includes athletes, singers, writers, activists, engineers, among other #GirlsWithGuts.

Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, and Mary Jackson, three African-American women working at NASA, whose calculations allowed John Glenn to become the first American astronaut to make a complete orbit of the Earth. This trio of #girlswithguts crossed gender and race lines to inspire future generations of women.
